Great American Queen Steamboat – November 30 – December 9, 2012. We’ll motorcoach to New Orleans, see Bourbon Street, spend the night. After a free morning (Cafe du Monde, Harrah’s Casino?), we’ll board the train called The City of New Orleans, arriving in Memphis in the evening. We’ll spend the night, and after touring opportunities (Graceland?), we’ll board the American Queen Steamboat for a 7-night cruise. We’ll stop along the way back to New Orleans in Vicksburg, Natchez, St. Francisville, Baton Rouge, and Oak Alley. There are free shore excursions included. All meals on board the boat are included, beer & wine with dinner is complimentary. We’ll enjoy lectures by the Riverlorean, nightly entertainment, and especially viewing the river and small towns all along the Mississippi River. Since it’ll be Christmas time, the boat will be all decked out with holiday decorations, and the huge bonfires along the river will be lit, showing Papa Noel the way.
